Commonly Asked Questions

Are you open to the public?

No, and we do not offer fishing on our ranch.  We do take appointments to pick up fish, make deliveries and hold Public Sale Days.  See the Appointments & Deliveries, & Public Sale Day pages for more info.

What kind of fish do you sell?

Large mouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, hybrid carp and mosquitofish. We sometimes have redear sunfish & rainbow trout as well.

Do you sell fish food? Tell me about your feed...

Yes, we sell fish food.  For simplicity, our fingerlings are all trained on a high protein fish meal which is a minimum 40% (up to 48%) protein, which the bass require.  Catfish, bluegill and carp can exist on a vegetable based protein diet of 28-32%, but if you have bass in your pond, the other fish will do fine on the higher protein feed.   Contact us at fishtmo@gmail.com for current pricing.

What are the prices of your fish?

Fish prices vary depending on time of year and availability.  Fingerling fish range from 1-3 inches and $1 - $3 each.  Adults can be up to 20 inches and prices vary.  We would be happy to give you a quote on current fish availability and sizes.  Just email us at fishtmo@gmail.com

Do you sell fingerlings as well as larger fish?

Yes, we have fingerlings on hand in our nursery.  We also have larger fish, up to 20 inches, depending on variety and time of year, but they are not in the nursery.  They must be harvested for each order.

Should I aerate my pond?

In general, it is best to aerate a pond stocked with fish, but it isn't always necessary.  Contact us at fishtmo@gmail.com to discuss your particular pond.

I have a muddy pond.  What can I do?

Keep in mind, muddy water helps to minimize weed growth by filtering out sunlight.  Instead of chemically clarifying the water, you can try a "dye" such as Aquashade to give it a beautiful appearance, while keeping the sunlight filter in place.  If you have catfish or carp, they are bottom dwellers and are probably kicking up silt which is normal. Also, muddy waters provides some protection from predators!

Do you ship fish?

No, I'm sorry we don't.
